I'm thankful, that's all....

I'm just going to stop apologizing for my lack of blogging again. No matter how much I want to blog weekly or twice a week, it just isn't happening! Life really is crazy and time is getting ahead of me. For those that don't know, I have been teaching Kindergarten since October 11. It is an interim/short-term thing (and some REALLY good money!!!) at the school my Mother-in-Law teaches at and it's a wonderful school so I pretty much am enjoying it. However, my routine is messed up! I am in bed really early, up way too early, am exhausted when I come home and SO behind on ministry stuff. But, the Lord provided this opportunity and He knew we needed it, so I am thankful and happy to be doing it. (well, when the kids are acting crazy, I'm not too happy, but, you get the picture...) My last day is the kid's last day before Christmas break. Then I can go back to my late, late nights and working in my PJ's!

If I started listing all that we have going on right now, it would overwhelm me and you both, so I am just going to say that I am thankful. Thankful that great, exciting things are in store for me and Bob this next year. I am ready to walk through some new doors and step out of my comfort zone. (more news on that stuff forthcoming!) I am thankful that it is fall and that the trees are changing color and I can wear boots, hats, scarves and sweaters! Thankful my husband so willingly does the dishes for me after I cook us a halfway decent dinner and that he'll go to the store anytime I need him to! And, I am thankful that God loves me, cares about every detail in all this craziness we have going on and that He is faithful. Too many times I have been guilty of being negative, critical and a downer. I don't want that to become part of my character. Life is too short. I have so many good things happening to be anything less than thankful and have an attitude of gratitude. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:20 to give thanks in ALL things, something I am sure we all need to be reminded of.

So,tonight, I am thankful, that's all....

  2. I enjoy reading your blog - and don't think anything about not being able to keep it up regularly. I don't think anyone has that kind of time:) You are a real trooper for being able to teach kindergarten for that many weeks in a row. The kids are so sweet, but by the end of the day, I was worn out! Can't wait to hear your "news" and future plans!
